The Journal of Educational Impact (JEI), published by Educational Impact, is a fully open-access journal. All content is freely and permanently available online immediately upon publication, without any embargo period. This policy is in accordance with the Budapest Open Access Initiative definition of open access.
License
JEI's content is published under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license (CC BY 4.0). Under this license, users are permitted to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, reuse, remix, and build upon the published material for any purpose, including commercial use, provided that proper attribution to the original publication is given. The applicable CC BY 4.0 license is displayed on every article page and embedded in every published PDF.
Copyright
Authors retain the unrestricted copyright and full publishing rights to their articles. By submitting to JEI, authors grant Educational Impact a non-exclusive license to publish the article and identify itself as the original publisher. Authors simultaneously grant readers and any other third party the right to freely use and reuse the article under the terms of the CC BY 4.0 license, as long as the original authors and citation details are properly identified.
Article Processing Charges (APC)
JEI operates without subscription fees. To cover editorial and publishing costs, a one-time article processing charge (APC) of USD 330 is due upon acceptance of a manuscript. No charges are applied at the submission stage. Waivers or discounts may be available for authors from low-income countries; requests should be directed to the editorial office prior to submission.
Peer Review
All manuscripts submitted to JEI undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process, in which the identities of both authors and reviewers are concealed throughout the evaluation. Submissions are assessed by a minimum of two independent expert reviewers. The final publication decision rests with the Editor-in-Chief.
Self-Archiving and Repository Deposit
JEI supports green open access. Authors are encouraged to self-archive their articles in institutional repositories, subject repositories, personal or institutional websites, and academic social networking platforms such as ResearchGate and Academia.edu. There is no embargo on self-archiving. Authors may deposit the pre-print, post-print, or the final publisher's PDF version immediately upon publication. Authors of accepted manuscripts are also permitted to deposit their accepted version prior to final publication.
Digital Preservation
To ensure the long-term availability and integrity of published content, JEI participates in digital preservation programs including CLOCKSS, LOCKSS, and Portico. In the event that the journal ceases publication, preserved content will remain permanently accessible through these archives.
