Information for Editors

Open Access

We would like to inform you that with the Open Access approach, published material can be accessed for free without any subscription charge. Our mission at JEI is to provide the latest research easily and quickly accessible to all, regardless of location or background. Our content is distributed under a Creative Commons open access license to ensure optimal availability.

To continue to provide this service, we finance the publication process through article processing charges (APC). These are to be covered by the authors and their institutions, and they typically cover the cost of managing the peer review process, professional copy-editing, and promoting the research that has been published. It is important to note that JEI currently has no other source of income.

Open Access provides a fantastic opportunity for authors to reach a wider audience with their research papers. It has been shown that open access papers may receive more citations than non-open access papers.
